Welcome to Gloversville BID
Map of Gloversville, NY
Gloversville

For over a century Gloversville was the prosperous industrial center of an international glove & leather industry. Our gloves traveled all over the world and our downtown streets were bustling centers of the city. Many of the historic buildings are being used by the shops and businesses of the BID. There are also opportunities to live downtown - some in newly renovated spaces.

There are also factory & warehouse buildings and industrial parks nearby.

Images of Fulton CountyAs people recognize the quality-of-life advantages of living and working in a small city, many are re-thinking older, established cities with a history and sense of place for starting new businesses, raising families or planning for their retirement years. Gloversville is a small city with lots of history, tradition and entrepreneurial spirit. Add in our proximity to major population, cultural and commercial centers in the Northeast; the Adirondack Mountains and the beautiful lakes and hills that surround the city; the wonderful people and sense of community they've created - and you get a picture of why we think Gloversville is so special.
